This weeks challenge was the “Spellbender Challenge”. This is the second time this particular challenge where spells only cost 1 energy (mana) has come around to the South Park Phone Destroyer Game.
Needless to say, team Apologize! had a blast this event as most of the team members were able to achieve all “challenge” card packs. I have posted below a picture of a good deck (plus or minus the power orb) to use for this challenge should it come around for a third time.
The key to winning this challenge successfully every run is to play your Youth Pastor Craig (YPC) card without getting him zapped so that his war cry stops the opponent from using any spells, which should be the majority of everyone’s deck in this challenge.
Useful tips include:
- Spawn YPC to the side of your new kid so that view of him is obstructed.
- Spawn other cards around YPC, when you spawn YPC to increase the chance of your opponent making an error and “zapping” the wrong guy.
- If your opponent is used to you spawning YPC in a certain part of the field (i.e. to the side of your new kid) change the spot you spawn him.
- Try to spawn YPC if you think that your opponent might be below one energy bar (mana).
