Surprisingly enough there’s small minority of teams (20%) who haven’t figured out that the best way to play Inuit Kenny in team wars is by not spending bottle caps on him. For the teams that do choose to pick Inuit Kenny for team wars the vast majority of teams in this game (80%) have figured out that the expensive cost associated with upgrading a legendary card like him can be better spent in other areas of the team deck.
I did a little bit recon this weekend to take screen shots of other teams who posted on social media with clips of either their team deck or their in-game use of Inuit Kenny to see if in fact they fell into this minority or majority. The result came in as expected. The vast majority of teams do not spend their bottle caps on this particular card and in fact do allocate them to other areas of the team deck.
I was only able to find one team who posted a picture of their team deck with online with a level 3 Inuit. I also created a poll in the South Park Phone Destroyer Latino Community – a well established SPPD community of experienced players of about eleven thousand members plus. The results were inline with the images I could find of everyone’s decks: about 5 to 1.
The consensus among the majority in this situation (on our team and in the community) is that having a base level 1 Inuit allows us to control who kills him and thus who his deathwish kills. The upgraded base level 3 Inuit for 400 bottle caps attacks weaker than most other assassins and his longer life allows the opponent instead to control which of their units kills him. It makes even less sense after they nerfed his attack a couple weeks prior to this post.
So, for the record, we’re not a team that upgrades Inuit Kenny and this isn’t something that’s up for debate on our team. If this doesn’t suit your liking then I also regret to inform you that I wasn’t able to find many other teams besides “A Sad Panda 420” to recommend for you to join who DO upgrade their Inuit Kenny for team wars. I doubt anyone would want to leave our team just over this and this alone but for those of you who I feel should and probably do already know this we’re taking a harder look any kind of patterns that might be forming around the idea that a different team might be the best option for you.
Anyone could have went out and gathered this situation and I urge them to if they feel like they need to. For every 5 screen shots of a base level 1 Inuit I was able to find 1 of a base level 3. Even among our on teammates here on team Apologize it’s actually more like 8 to 1 in favor of the base level 1. You can see from the poll as well as all the collected screen shots that about 80% of all teams do not upgrade their Inuit Kenny and about 20% do:
